Points of Interest
1. Parking Lot
Even from the start.. keep an eye out for wildlife. There is a lot of it! From marmots, to deer, to Mountain Goats and big horn sheep. Amazing!
2. The "Wall"
Hold on to the cable bolted to the wall if you are scared of heights. This is the famous "wall" portion of the trail. There are usually goats hanging around in this area so keep your eye out for them and let them walk ahead of you. Don't bother them.
3. View ahead down the valley
Looking ahead down the valley. You will pass numerous cascading waterfalls tumbling down the hill above you.
4. View of Mt. Gould
Mt. Gould towering above you.
5. A look back at Logan Pass
Absolutely beautiful up here. Feels like "Gone with the wind".
6. Big Horn!
Sheep in the col next to Haystack Butte.
7. How did he get there?
Check out this goat... Their cliff-scaling ability is unbelievable. Look carefully in the photo of the cliff and you'll see a goat!
8. Lake McDonald View
A look down the valley towards Lake McDonald and marmots all over the trail!

Another wider view down the valley. The trail is still beautiful.

11. Granit Park Chalet
This marks the start of your switchbacking descent. Make sure you are down to the trailhead in time to catch the free shuttle bus back up to your car at Logan Pass far back up the Going to the Sun highway.
