This is a list of places that i think any person who is mad on music should visit. There is a mixture of places to buy instruments, sheet music and cd's. Most are within easy reach of central London

  • 1. Denmark Street, W1

This is the centre of the music trade in London. Here and the surrounding streets are jammed full of music shops. There are a lot of guitar shops selling anything from rock guitars to banjo's. Other parts of the orchestra are also catered for including wind instruments, percussion and brass. Not many violin shops though.

  • 2. Howarth of London, Clifton Street

Close to Baker Street tube one of the best wind instrument shops in London. They have seperate departments for Clarinet, Saxophone, Flute and Oboe. Each department has its own expert who are very happy to advise. The prices for accessories is very reasonable and probably the cheapest around.

  • 3. Chappells of Bond Street, Wardour Street

Don't be fooled by the name this music store is now in Wardour Street. a great place to browse for sheet music of all kinds. It has an extensive selection for all instruments and genre. They also sell instruments but they are very expensive and you can usually get the same thing a lot cheaper elsewhere.

  • 4. Pop Landmark Website

A great site for the whole country giving addresses of famous places associated with pop and rock music.
