Things to do while in HK

  • 1. Things not to be missed while in HK

Victoria Peak - the most famous scene of HK that you will find in any literature or postcard of HK

Stanley Market - great views along the way in any mode of transportation though the bus is more thrilling and of a higher point of view, great shopping and if u walk towards the water, good dining and bars

Causeway Bay and Wanchai - roof top tram ride is a must during the night time for that amazing neon light scene HK is famous for as well as great shopping, dining and clubs

Kowloon Waterfront Promenade - beautiful view of Victoria Harbor (dont miss the symphony of lights along Ave. of Stars)

Star Ferry - a ferry ride is a must between the two sides

Lantau - Giant Buddha and Po Lin Monastery

Ladies Street - u can find anything and everything at this market

Temple Street - famous for the night market

Flower Street - another street market and this one is a good place for the ladies to shop, they really have loads of fashion shops but u can find anything from household items to flowers to fruit and noodle shops.

Mongkok - famous and popular shopping district in Kowloon

Sheung Wan - u can almost smell the street before u reach the area coz it is famous for dried chinese seafood (scallops and oysters, etc) and medicinal (ginseng, etc) products. Western Market is a good place to browse around. Cat Street is another street for collectibles (supposedly antiques but u got to know ur stuff to tell what is what !)

Central - HK famous business district, the mid level escalator had been filmed many times over and are surrounded by small but good restaurants. Hollywood Road is another good place to browse for antiques, there is a market around here that sells everything under the sun on Li Yuen. Another famous spot around here is Lan Kwai Fong, u must dine or walk thru the neighorhood.

Admiralty - where Pacific Place is and all the high end branded goods are found in every inch of this area. The HK park is accessible from P.P (up the escalators). Once in the park, there is a tower u can climb up for a good view and u can visit the aviary, there is also a tea musuem, a children's playground and some water feature that is pretty while strolling in the park. The HK Zoo and Botanical Gardens is a short walk away (across a bridge from the HK Park).

Ocean Park - dont forget swim wear ! ur kid will love this place.

    3) Tai Tam - HK's biggest reservoir
    4) Aberdeen Country Park - u can walk all the way to Wanchai via Wanchai Gap (u can get a really good view of HK esp. in the evenings, the view is comparable to Victoria Peak's)

    6) Lantau - there are many different stages/trails for an amazing hike and scenery, all have their own unique views and climbs
