    http://www.southstreetseaport.com/

At the end of pier 17 right on the east river there are views of the Manhattan and Brooklyn Bridges- you will have a choice of food and seating that offers views of Brooklyn, the East River, and the Bridges. Also in the summer they have the "Water Taxi Beach Bar (at the end of the pier to the left) it is a fantastic place for a burger, a dog, some fries, and a drink.

  • 2. Brookfield Place
Brookfield Place - World Financial Center, New York City, New York

They have bakeries and sandwich shops and a public seating area with a view of the Hudson River and the New York Yacht club. An absolutely beautiful area of Manhattan. This was the first large office building rebuilt after the collapse of the WTC and they also have a fantastic indoor lobby

  • 3. Staten Island Ferry
Staten Island Ferry, New York City, New York

The boat ride is free and their concession stand has inexpensive pastries, sandwiches, and chips with beautiful views of Manhattan and the Statue of Liberty.

  • 4. Central Park Boat House Concession Stand
    http://www.thecentralparkboathouse.com/sections/boats.htm

They have a concession stand with affordable and delicious food, that has in door or out door seating where you can get almost the same view of the people eating in their (more expensive) restaurant section. Definitely try renting the row boats if it is warm enough, it is also a fun and affordable.

  • 5. Shake Shake at Madison Square Park
    http://www.shakeshacknyc.com/

This classic style burger stand has outside seating with a view of the Flat Iron building and all of the unique architecture around Madison Square Park.

  • 6. Whole Foods Union Square
    http://wholefoodsmarket.com/storesbeta/unionsquare/

  • 7. Chelsea Brewing Company
    http://chelseabrewingco.com/

You can grab a (really good) Burger and Beer for not too too much and have a great view of the Hudson River.

  • 8. Bouchon Bakery
    http://www.bouchonbakery.com/showPlace.php?id=3

Mostly for Breakfast (their lunch is bit more pricey) but If you grab a muffin (or pastry)and coffee from the bakery and sit at their seating in Time Warner Center you get almost the same view of Central Park and Columbus Circle as the Cafe and other expensive restaurants at a fraction of the price.

  • 9. Chelsea Market
Chelsea Market, New York City, New York

This market has several places to grab breakfast, lunch, or an early dinner and it is a perfect example of the kitchy industrial archetechure that is so promenint in Chelsea, the Meat packing district, and parts of the Grenwhich village, SoHo, and Tribeca.
Not to worry if the seating at the market is too crowded the Hiline Park (a unique park built on abonded railroad tracks) has an entrance directly behind the Market.
