Best Items to Pack When Traveling Overseas

Your packing list keeps getting bigger and bigger...but here are a few things that don't take up a lot of space that will come in handy!

  • Category: Best of
  • 1. Tide Stain Stick

Who wants to walk around with a big splat of marinara or gelato on your blouse? Slip one of these little gems into your purse and it takes out stains on the go,

  • 2. Ziploc Bags

You just never know when you'll need 'em...but you WILL need 'em! Discreetly pack leftovers from breakfast for a picnic lunch, put damp paper towels in one to help cool off on a hot day; the uses are limitless!

  • 3. Band Aid Blister Block

This is a small gel-type adhesive that will save your trip if you happen to get a blister. They last for several days even through your shower or bath!

  • 4. Concentrated Room Spray

These little room sprays are available at Bath and Body stores. They're small to pack, but they pack a big punch of aroma where you need it...perhaps the bathroom?

  • 5. Charmin Trial Size Rolls

Too many bathrooms don't have toilet paper. Charmin trial size rolls (available at Wal-Mart) are easily small enough to fit in a purse or camera bag.

  • 6. Pack of 'Soap Leaves'

This is a little packet about the size of a post-it note (not as thick). It contains 'leaves' of soap that are paper thin. If you find yourself in a bathroom with no soap, these are ultra 'handy' - all puns intended. Available at Wal-Mart

  • 7. Mini Mag Lite

These tiny little flashlights are durable, small and they travel well. They're great if you need to get up during the night without turning on a light, or to use in certain sightseeing places, such as the Paris Catacombs.

  • 8. Mini Binoculars

These are great and small enough for a purse or tote bag. They allow you to see even the smallest details of architecture, artworks, etc. Get 'em cheap on eBay.
