"We were lucky to see this impressive waterfall in full force - it rained a lot during the night before and there was a lot of meltwater still coming down. Don't miss the interesting "rock-walk" at the entrance to the waterfall."
"There is a lot more to the Lillaz waterfall than meets the eye. The bottomo of the waterfall is beautiful but it is best to walk all the way up to the top. The top is stunning and opens out into a meadow. I have spent several hours lying on the grass looking at the scenery, listening to the waterfal..."l while my husband husband photographed the falls.
Lillaz is interesting in summer or winter, and in fact in the winter of 2009 there was lots and lots of snow and the waterfall was frozen.
My husband and I visited the falls regularly when he was alive - it was always a great day out from Pila. One August we piled into the car, set off, and as we were walking along the river towards the falls realised that this is perhaps not the best of time to visit. There was very little water in the river and the falls were jsut a mere trickle. Even so it was still lovely!
