While staying in Monteverde don’t miss the Sky Tram that will lead you up to the Continental Divide and to one of the highest mountains in the area. Sky Tram is a guided tour where you can have the opportunity to observe the cloud forest outstanding biodiversity, the majestic Arenal Volcano and the Nicoya Gulf. The Sky Trek’s zip lines go from mountain to mountain, allowing you fly through a cable at speeds up to 40 miles per hour and heights of over 520 feet. There are also 5 observation towers that surpass the cloud forest treetops, providing amazing panoramic views our company has a braking system that was superior to what I'd experienced in other places. The zip linesthemselvesare long and fast, when the clouds cleared, we were able to see the ocean, which was amazing. It is a really great experience.

Your personal guide to Monteverde and the highlands of Costa Rica Monteverde and the highlands of Costa Rica attract scientists, bird watchers, and wildlife lovers from all over the world. Its biodiversity covers: virgin cloud forests and multi-century old strangler fig trees, the continental divide where you can see both the Caribbean and the Pacific coasts, reserves that offer views of Arenal Volcano and provide the few remaining homes of the endangered resplendent Quetzal. canopy tours, zip lining, night tours, bird watching tours, butterfly gardens, hanging bridges, buggy driving, horse-back riding... the list is almost endless. So much to do in so little time. In order to make the most of your stay, you require the services of a personal guide who can show you the very best the area has to offer - without having to spend a fortune! My name is Johnny and not only have I lived in the area for most of my life, I am incredibly fortunate that I have realised my childhood dreams; to become a naturalist guide to the most bio diverse forests and unique & fragile ecosystems that the world has to offer.Contact me in order to discuss how I can best help you to make the most of this stunning location.Wishing you a great trip! "We really enjoyed the night tour - our tour guide was knowledgeable and friendly. He explained everything in great detail and was able to point out some very interesting critters. He was careful to ask about if anyone had fear of spiders and other bugs. "
"They have the fastest zip lining in Monteverde and the longest combined course. My only ding would be that they do not take credit cards, so bring extra cash if you want to buy lunch, rent a gopro camera or pay for the photo they take of you on the zip line. I was unable to. The guides here were ..."excellent.

"You probably won't find another place like this as it is a rain forest but higher in the mountains so it is cool even in the summer. Best to go during the spring when it is still the dry season. If you go in the fall it will be wet all the time. Be prepared for a lot of walking. And don't forge..."t the last 20 K of road is not paved so it is very bumpy takes about an hour to slug through this experience. The town of Santa Elena has paved roads but Monteverde does not. There are a lot of great places to stay some for all budgets. Taxi's are reasonable and they know where they are going. Many of them speak some English and if you stay for any length of time you will see people you have met at the store or on the road. Everyone either knows everyone or is related to someone. There are many great places to hike. Some are guided hikes. You will see some of the most interesting animals. Some fly, some crawl. Monkeys, Toucans, Parrots, all kinds of beasty.
