"We visited the centre twice on our stay in Helmsley and both times it was amazing. The birds are extremely well cared for, the flying demos just amazing even when it was raining. We had lunch at the cafe which was really good and everybody was so friendly."
"Had a throughout enjoyable visit on 2nd May.
Professional and welcoming English Heritage staff on arrival, good value for money to vist the Abbey - pay and display car park cost was refunded - which included a small museum before visiting the Abbey and grounds. Some of the buildings are still in g..."reat shape and we were very impressed with the site.
An audio system is provided so I could learn more about the Abbey which I like to use at sites like this.
Coffee bar is also included, with tables inside and out.

"A walk along the terrace gives lovely views of the Abbey in the valley below. Our return walk through the woods was made even nicer by the sculpture being displayed at present. You do need a good day though as there is little shelter."
