The day started with a drive out to the glacier car park. Our group on 18 then got split in half with a guide each. We went up through a rainforest track which meant we got a great view of the glacier on the way too it. Once at the edge we put on the crampons and set off. We ended up on the ice for longer than advertised. We had a nice sunny day and found lots of features to explore. Some practical points: -you need warm layers -there are obviously no on ice toilets -you will be walking all day -good idea to pack lots of food, especially little snacks, there is a cafe at the starting point -there are lockers available at the office before yo...
