  "While we visited as part of a Bobs tours Sound of Music tour, this church is much more than just another stop along the tour. In fact, once inside it's very easy to see why the film producers chose this church for the wedding instead of any number of similar sized churches back in Salzburg. The f..."airly ordinary yellow facade hides a stunning pink marble interior. It's light and airy, and obviously the perfect place for a film wedding. A small shop just inside sells the usual souvenirs and gladly accepts donations. Parts of the church date back to the 12th century. You can see these older walls at the entrance as you go in the left side door. Although very beautiful inside, the church does have one distinctly bizarre feature. Built into the large altar are five skeletons; regally dressed and bejewelled. In the sheer ornateness of the place they are easy to miss unless pointed out.
