We are a new dive-shop run by an enthusiastic team of experienced dive professionals. Having worked in this area for some years and seen a gap in the market for something a little different we decided to create Baruna dive. We want to offer our divers more than just dive business as usual. We are the opposite of factory diving, a small operation offering personalized service with no intention of expansion. We love what we do and we want to keep it that way.

Amed and surrounding area is attractive for diving and snorkeling for many years. Locality in front of the hotel is renowned for its wealth of fish and just there start stunning coral reefs, which continue 700 meters to the east and ends by the Japanese ship wreck - another very attractive location. Dives we start from shore directly in front of the center. There aren't dangerous currents - they are always along the coast.

"The perfect balance of professionalism, care and relaxed fun - this is how all dive operations should be. Murray is the best guide it has been my pleasure to submerge with in almost 200 dives, with a huge knowledge of the Amed and Tulamben sites, matched with real concern that you have a good time a..."nd keep safe. Wisdom and good humour come as the bonus to the package. I even learned how to keep mould off my clothes in the rainy season!
The team in the dive shop are friendly, accommodating and on the ball. When I left my regs at the shop, they simply drove down to Candidasa with them, before I even noticed my carelessness. Great service, and absolutely typical of our experience with Baliku.
We'll be back there soon for sure.

"We chose Baruna cos' of the good reviews on Trip Advisor. They don't disappoint! We're very happy with our dive master, Komang. We feel very safe diving with him. A very experienced dive master who is ever patient with relatively new OW divers like us. He makes our dive experience stress-free and en..."joyable. Love the pictures he took throughout our dives! We did 3 shore dives at Tulamben(Liberty wreck, The Drop-off and Coral Garden) and 2 boat dives at Amed(Bunutan & Pyramid). Cos' we are used to diving in Thailand, we expect a decent boat to take us out for the boat dives. Diving from jukung fishing boat is really a refreshing experience, we got to wear our BCDs in the choppy water. But getting back to the boat was really a challenge for me - no ladder! But our helpful dive master was always there to render help, I truly appreciate that. At the point of enquiry, we were told that the group will be small (not more than 4), it turned out to be just my hubby & me; we are very happy with t...

"Having just finished four days of fun diving I understand why there are so many glowing reviews on TripAdvisor. Adventure Divers is an amazing place. All of the staff are warm and friendly and David and Liselotte are incredibly generous with their time and knowledge. Nothing was too much effort for ..."them.
The prices (with full equipment) are very reasonable and include lots of extras, such as coffee and biscuits, lunch, towel, free water, transport to and from your hotel etc.
I mainly dived with Ketut (DM) and he seemed to have eyes in the back of his head (as well as a thousand-watt smile). Thanks to him I ticked loads of things from my checklist - octopus, mimic octopus, scorpion fish, bumphead parrot fish, leaf fish, seahorses, pygmy seahorses, turtles, moray eels, leopard eels, white tipped reef shark, huge barracudas... the list goes on and on.
The underwater scenery around Amed is first rate and each dive site seemed to throw up something slightly different.
Even though I ...
