Marvel at the laid back attitude of the local police as teenagers and others basically set-up house on the beach, and check-out the funky shops that include everything from a marijuana haven to a salt water taffy candy store. The zoo is full day experience that requires good walking shoes! Best to arrive between 9am and 10am to g..."et the crowds behind you. Lots of places to stop and picnic so bring your lunch and avoid expensive food. Beer is available and you can walk around with it! Buy tix online or mention you are on BCAA for fellow Canadians to get a 10%discount. We were not asked for proof. If a sunny day, bring a hat and water. Must see the condors and pandas! We spent 6 hours there and it was just enough time to experience it all! The only down side, figuring out that map! Easily got lost but lots to see and staff were very helpful!
