"Oh! Please go here! They propagate their own beautiful orchids, so the selection is fantastic. They ship plants to all 50 states. The gift shop is full of volcano and flower related items. A cheerful staff will help you. Not too touristy!"
"We visited with Discover Hawaii Tours on 5/2/13 and used the gift shop for gifts and informative literature on volcanos. The museum was very interesting and the park rangers offered helpful and interesting information. We returned 5/5/13 for an evening view of the crater and the VOG was really thick...". We had been advised at the Volcano Center to avoid it, but many of us chose to try to catch the "glow". We did but at a different site down from Jagger where the VOG lifted just slightly. It was a lot of fun teasing each other about our level of enthusiasm that kept us there just hoping. Aloha to all those young at heart people!
