"we rented a boat for the day and went to Captain Cook to go snorkeling. It was absolutely beautiful. We lucked out as there were maybe only five other people snorkeling, so we had essentially the entire place to ourselves. warning: it looks very difficult to access the snorkeling from the land. Ther..."e was no good entry or exit location. This is no issue for us as we had a boat. The water was very clear. I got to see sea turtles tons of fish and even a shark. I think it was a reef shark, and from what I understand there very uncommon in the area. The water is very calm and very clear. We were only planning on being there for about a half an hour. But wound up there for over 2 hours. I have been snorkeling all over the world and absolutely loved it here. The only downside was I got stung by a jellyfish at the very end :(

"I love bees and was so excited to see the sign for the museum. It was Sunday, they are closed, so we came back on Monday and it was worth it. the guy working was wonderful and my two local friends and my BF also had a great time. We enjoyed the self-serve museum and watching an actual waggle dance..." in their live bee exhibit. Amazing!!
We left with honey, t-shirts, bags and soap. If you have never really understood what it takes to get honey to your table, and I mean great honey, you need to swing by and soak up everything that is sweet and buzzes!

"What a great, non-touristy tour of life on a coffee plantation, 1925-1945. The tour guide, (Pixie?) was fantastic - I really felt like I was back there in time. In hindsight, I wish I had purchased coffee from their little gift cart. Really nice staff too. This along with a tour of the modern Gr..."eenwell Coffee Farm, gives you great insight into the Kona coffee industry.
