  "We canoed the Namekogan river from Springbrook landing back to Jack's for a trip of roughly 11 miles or 6 and 1/2 hours on the water. We encountered some mild rapids in the beginning of the trip, but after that it was smooth canoeing. What a peaceful trip with many picnic area stops along the way...." We encounter a deer, bald eagle, ducks, cranes and even caught 4 decent smallmouth bass and 2 very nice northern pike, all on ultralight gear and tackle. The people at Jacks were extremely nice and full of information about the river. The driver that took us to our drop off point was very friendly and helpful.
