"I went to this museum while I was aboard Ft Eustis for business. I only had about an hour to spare before they closed so I had to rush. I did not get the chance to view the large number of trains, aircraft, etc. that were on display outside. But the inside has a large selection of top-quality unif..."orms, vehicles, aircraft, dioramas, etc. If you want to read all of the placards and spend time at all of the displays, it will take at least two-three hours. There is no fee for admittance and there is a small gift shop inside. I would recommend checking the museum's website to confirm the operating hours. The only drawback is that it is physically inside the confines of Fort Eustis and the requisite security precautions apply to enter the installation.

"My husband was super excited to visit this museum. Me? Not so much. Once inside, my mind changed immediately. There was so much interesting stuff to see and quality exhibits that I could not help but be amazed and entertained. We spent the entire day there and did not get bored once. The variety of ..."exhibits is amazing! We especially love the miniature ship replicas. Super nice and helpful staff. I ended up having a great time! Highly recommend this even if you are not a maritime buff.

"Liked it all, especially the replica of the Monitor and the life size models of all types of boats. Disappointed that the cafe has closed as we were there from 10 am to almost 4 pm."
