"We have seen a couple of shows at Pickleville Playhouse. This Summer we saw "The Hanging of Juanito Bandito." As with all of the other shows we have seen, this one was hilariously funny. I laughed almost all the way through. This is a tiny, family run playhouse with maybe 150 seats. The setting..." is rustic and the theater can get kind of hot on a Summer evening. However, the acting is superb for such a rural setting and the staff and actors are very personable. We love the family friendly atmosphere and always feel like welcome guests. We always order the pre-show steak dinner which is a good value in itself and quite tasty. Dinner is served chuckwagon style and is eaten outdoors at picnic tables.

"Bear Lake is called the Mediteranian of the Rockies because of it's beautiful blue water -- not because of it's temperature. For swimmers, the water is not warm enough until well after July 4. North Beach and East Beach state parks are operated by Idaho. Entrance is $5 per carload. North Beach i..."s great for children because the slope of the shore is so gradual that children can go as far as 100 yards into the water while still standing up. East Beach has a nice grassy picnic area. Both of these beaches can fill up fast on holiday weekends. Cisco beach on the Utah side has a rocky shore and a cliff that drops straight down a few feet into the water. Garden City has a city beach and there are several other private beaches all around the lake. Great place for boating in August and the latter part of July. Much like Lake Tahoe without the big hotels and Ponederosa pines.
