The gulch is most famous because of the last 100 meters, before the junction with Dry Fork of Coyote Gulch - here the ravine cuts deeper into the sandstone, with a series of interlinked potholes, extravagant swirls and fins of rock, and several arches; these different openings and the many corners and crevices account for the curious name of this canyon.

"both beautiful hikes but if you want a little peace with multiple waterfalls and pools do the Upper Calf Creek Hike, at the fork go right to go up on top and relax and swim in the pools above the 96 ft. upper falls."
"Fun place but pretty crowded in April/May so not a place for wanting to get back to nature. Afterwards so up the Dry Gulch of Coyote slot canyon, did not meet a sole compared to the huge numbers in Peekaboo and Spooky. Take a 30ft lighter style rope with you for the 2 popular slot canyons"
