  "This is a great State Park... not so big but a lot quiet than most other state parks in texas. Our group of four was trying book a camping site for weekend but all the sites were taken. Only thing that was still available was $45/night "Premium Screened Shelter". We had no clue what that meant. Even..." thought it was a little expensive (especially since we were planning on setting our camp with tents & all!) we went ahead with it....We were expecting to find a usual "screened" shelter, with mesh walls but we were in for a surprise. It was a nice little wooden cabin- clean little room with a ceiling fan. It was a great location too--- very private with the lake just a few feet away. The washrooms were just few feet away but we had to drive a little to get to the showers. The shower at the location is still under construction. It also has a little playground just around the corner in case you were camping with kids. We stayed for 2 nights. Did 7mi hike on Day2.. It was amazing...balanced ... " More >
