  "pirates bay was awsome and when i went with my family i just thought that it was going to be soooo boring. at that point i thought it was a baby water park, but when i saw it and all of the slides and when i finally went on all of them i was so excited. i just want to go again."

There were lots of people fishing and picnicking, but we were content to watch the birds, take some pictures, read a few signs and climb to the top of the "gazebo" that sits atop a small hill towards the back of the property. You get a great view of the area from the gazebo. The park area used to be a neighborhood that starting sinking because too much groundwater was taken out from under the area, so the houses are gone now but you can still tell where some of the streets used to be.
