Things to do in State College - Tourist Places in State College
"I visited the Arboretum over graduation weekend, and it's a great thing to spend an hour or so exploring. There's lots of open space to let kids run around, the park is organized beautifully, and trees themselves are quite pleasant.
Also, the sun dial is pretty cool. We guessed at what it was for ..."a while before picking up the guide brochure. That became a game of sorts all on its own.
All-in-all, picturesque, free, and nice detour on busy Penn State weekends.

"I really like this place, I just hope they are looking to move to a bigger building! I've visited this place 3 times over the past few months with my two kids. They are ages 4.5 and 9. I have to say, the museum is small but they pack a lot in to their space. Everything is science and interactive and..." if your kids are like mine, you will have to drag them out after 2 hours (sometimes I have to drag my husband out too - that darned flight simulator). They also offer a lot of special activities on the weekends for kids and families so it's worth visiting more than one time a year. Buy the family membership - it's way more worth it than paying the entry fee every time.
