Be sure to stop at the gift shop for a map when you get there, and look at the interesting displays about the CCC. During the summer the lake is open for swimming which my daughter enjoys. Lots of nice picnic spots throughout the park. When it is snowing out they have a fun sledding hill near the campground too! If you like snowshoeing that is also fun during the winter. A local gem!   "Great park to hike. We love hiking along the stream and the kids really enjoying climbing all the rocks along the trail. The dogs enjoy it as well and it is not crowded. We hiked along the creek/stream and we did not run into one person on our trail. We look forward to going back soon!"
