The Broadway is a fairly small theatre with a cafe and well-stocked bar in the centre of Barking, at the back of the Town Hall, near to the library. It puts on some really good stand up as well as plays and one-man shows, all of which imo are good enough to be staged in a much larger theatre or in London's West End. The last play I saw there was "Sissie and Ada" with Steve Nallon. He's the guy who used to do the Maggie Thatcher impersonations and voiceovers for Spitting Image in the 80's. He was brilliant,as were the other actors, and it was a great night replete with memories of the late, great Les Dawson.. Please try this little theatre, you won't regret it. " More >
