Bus loads on the way back and queues to cross on the stepping stone bridge. Need two, one each way. Queues of cars waiting to get into car park when we left. Toilets there and a ..."hut serving ice creams, coffee etc. didn't use. Certainly a pretty place and should not be missed, but perhaps best visited without the crowds! " More >

  "I have been to Dovedale since I was a small child and I love it. Walking for miles or just a short stroll by the river or in the river on a hot day as the water is shallow and climbing up the mountain. Our family have spend many happy days at Dovedale."
