Unfortunately though, this tour does not run everyday. It costs more than the shorter ones but it is well worth the price. The boat could comfortab..."ly seat 30 people or so but on this lucky day there were only 7 passengers aboard which made for easy access to take photos from anywhere. Special to me were my photos of multiple osprey nests with the parents caring for and feeding their young to which we were able to get up to closely since the boat has a shallow draft along the river's edge. The excellent commentary by the experienced and very knowledgeable captain regarding history of the area and river, future plans for the area, and info about the flora and fauna and other ecological tidbits only added to a very pleasurable and rewarding experience.
