As North Carolina’s original family theme park, Tweetsie Railroad is a unique attraction that allows children and families to explore their imaginations and a whole lot more. Be a cowboy, cowgirl or an engineer. Shop along Main Street, pan for gold, or visit the animals in the Deer Park. Tweetsie has amusement rides for all ages and live entertainment throughout the park. And, of course, hop aboard our historic train for a fun-filled three-mile Wild West journey through the scenic mountains. Located in Blowing Rock, NC.

The joy of skiing or riding really begins when you can turn and ski in control on intermediate terrain. A very high percentage of people who try skiing or riding never return because they try it on their own or with the help of well meaning friends. Without proper instruction, many people never experience the true joy of skiing or riding. Guidance and coaching from a trained professional at the French-Swiss Ski College makes the goal of recreational skiing or riding much easier to accomplish.

"This is a very beautiful park.It has a lake and a trail that goes around it.Anyone could do this trail,it is flat and close to a mile.A lot of locals go there and walk their dogs, and when the weather is warm they have carriage rides. The house has a craft shop, that has some beautiful items, but it is ..."expensive.A great place to relax or take the kids and let them play.Being on the edge of town,it is not secluded, but beautiful never less.

"Took my 4 yr old son on a Friday in May after they had recently reopened for the season. All the service I came in contact with (buying food, ride operators, etc) were all extra nice! There are 2 trains in the park, the big Tweetsie train that you board in the front if the park and a small one up the..." hill in back of the park. This was my son's first theme park so he absolutely loved everything!!! I enjoyed the fact that my son couldn't run far and get lost in a big crowd. You can't compare this park to Disney. This is a smaller and more relaxing type of park. Yes, the park is older but is very well kept and very clean, it reminds you of the parks you went to as a kid. We received a AAA discount just by asking at the entrance.

"We often stop by the Tanger Outlets when we go to Blowing Rock. If you are looking for basics or if you have a favorite store represented here you may find a good deal. This is a small neat center and you can usually find a parking space."
