  "April 24, 2013 visited this national site and really enjoyed it! Even though the house was not open (opens Memorial day) we walked the beautiful grounds and the wooded trails. The rock garden in its very early spring splendor was great. The flowers were few but those that bloomed really stood out..." within the rocks and other ground cover. We even got to speak with the landscaper who pointed out some we had missed and the names of the plants. You could tell he loved the garden. The ecology trail starts at the house and runs along beautiful Lake Sunapee then heads into the woods and ends at the gatehouse. There were markers which the trail map explained making it a very interesting walk.. There was a wonderful brook which it followed for a while. So many more trails to walk and the house to see that we will definitely return. " More >
