"The 2.5hours drive from Boston during winter is worth it! We wanted to get away for a weekend and found this place had lot of activities. We had never skied before-but everyone are very helpful from suggesting classes, at the rentals and the at the class. It was called a Group Class but it was just ..."for both of us-which was awesome!
We also took the lifts upto Latitude44 restaurant-they let you take the lifts up and come down the lifts even if you don't ski. There's also have a food court and bar with live music upstairs to get hot coco or beer and relax!

"What a hoot! What was once considered a laughable idea by some and an impossible feat by others, now provides visitors an experience of a lifetime – one to add to your “bucket list”. For more than a century, the Mt. Washington Cog Railway has climbed the tallest mountain in the Northeast, experience..."d the world’s worst weather and persevered through the doubts to become one of the world’s most thrilling adventures. The Cog climbs more than 3,400 feet, beginning at an elevation of 2,70...

"The railway was located about 6 miles off US 302 over a well-signed and unevenly paved road. Parking was in a large compact-dirt lot. Early on a clear crisp fall day, for $66 per adult ticket, an antique steam locomotive pushed our railroad car along steep railroad tracks and up a 3-mile-long trestl..."e to Mount Washington’s 6,288-foot summit. During our hour-long summit stop, the panoramic views spanned parts of New Hampshire, Maine, and Vermont, as well as north into Quebec, Canada, and east to the Atlantic Ocean. The entire round trip took just over 3 hours. At the base lodge were a gift shop, a small museum, a small restaurant, and restrooms. Be certain to bring warm clothes and a camera — especially during foliage season!
