What travellers are saying
- JulieBeanNeosho, MO180 contributionsWe wanted to try the Chinquapin Trail in the summer as we've been in the winter and spring. Trails were a bit overgrown in places and there were still a dozen or more trees over the trail from a storm in June. We were able to get around them easily enough. Found several of the Ozark Chinquapin trees, along with many wildflowers and a hint of color in the trees. I enjoy walking there more in the spring when the water is flowing better and the view of the rocky cliffs is more clear. Late summer has its own beauty, however.Written 13 September 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- MomommajPineville, MO33 contributionsI love visiting this Museum. It's very interesting and the people that run it make sure that the displays are updated with new displays periodically so it never gets boring. Wonderful artifacts and history of the people in this area. Fun to go through with the elementary aged children, too. Great job!Written 3 July 2020This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- Brianb2001Springfield, MO59 contributionsHad a great time! Lots of courses for Jeeps and side X by sides. Camping is not bad. Great place for off roading!Written 1 August 2019This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.

- Chris N1 contribution30 amp RVsites water and power are shared which puts the front side of one camper really close to the backside of another due to power cord or water hose. If camper has slideouts makes it even closer.
Random burn pits all over.
Tent camping has no assigned spot just put it anywhere you want. Cabins are like another said chicken coops on stilts. Flooring are planks not solid so cracks in the floors.
RV dump station is hidden up by the Full hookup sites but on the wrong side so you have to back up to it blocking in the full hookup site.
Showers are in a building close to the road so be prepared for a long walk. Bathrooms do not have toilet paper so be sure to bring your own.
Canoe rentals are $35 per person!!
Don't forget your river pass when you check in as well, gotta have that so they can charge you appropriately.
No poles to hang your trash bags on but at least they come and pick up your trash if you leave it by the road.Written 22 July 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
