MSU's huge country-like campus offers a lovely setting for running, biking or just hanging out, and also has places to visit, like the Beal Botanical Gardens, Sanford Natural Area, the 70,000-capacity Spartan football stadium, an art center, planetarium and, of course, the MSU Dairy Store for ice cream.

"From Michigan myself....son just graduated there after only 4 years of attendance!!! Go Spartans!!! Beautiful gardens and campus, museums to see also..."
"I dare you to visit this place after drinking!
This place is the ultimate sobriety test. The floors are level but everything else isn't. The stairway is the ultimate challenge. Hang your head over the rail from the top and you'll feel like you were in the Hitchcock movie "Vertigo". It's only ..."three stories down, but your brain will think otherwise. If you need help, find a blind person to lead you around... you'll do fine, except when the occasional angular wall unexpectedly whacks you in the head.
Ok, seriously... this is a really cool building designed by the world famous architecture firm of Zaha Hadid and Associates. Google that name and watch some portfolio slideshows on youtube and you'll appreciate that she is probably the greatest female architect alive today (maybe ever).
Some of the art is cool, most of it falls into the "WTF?" category, but it is still interesting.
The best day to visit is on a Sunday when parking nearby is free. There are free guided tours...

"Mellow out and ease into the stars...and moons...with this understated, under-rated, silver-plated value on the MSU campus.
The heavens tell a story about creation, and the myths and histories of man are also told in their imaginative naming of constellations. The people here really like to tell ..."the story.
It's a mellow experience, so if you have to check your email or had one too many energy drinks, stay home. But if you want deep entertainment and imaginative storytelling mixed with science, try this.
And...please slide a suggestion into the box about a Pink Floyd light show. Dark Side of the Moon is 40 years old now...and I want to listen to it here.
