We'd read that over 90 species of seashells had been found/identified on this beach. Bottom line? As far as beachcombing goes, the beach is so-so. There are A LOT of both large and small bay scallop shells in all sorts of different colors, and we found some of the largest and brightest colors of jingle shells that we've ever seen. We saw tons of slipper shells and a few little bi-valve shells (clams, oysters, etc.). However, we just didn't see many univalve types of shells. We did happen to get really lucky and found a 7" knobbed whelk shell in good shape. But, I think this is probably a rarity since we didn't even see many pieces of whelks on the beach.
