We were welcomed into the pilot house where we saw photos of new baby osprey born the day before in a nest near which the boat passes within about ten feet, We had the opportunity to glide by that nest and see the osprey parents keeping watch over their new babies. The captain, a former software executive, spoke about his love for his job and how much he enjoyed meeting the folks on board. The ride was informative, filled with the history of the area, and relaxing as we sailed past the beautiful homes along the Miles River.
