"I love our zoo! I have had a membership for a couple of years and I try to get out to the zoo every month or so. It's a pleasant stroll around the grounds, and as a photography buff I like to catch an animal when it's active and take as many interesting shots as I can. There are fewer animals out..." during winter, but the animals are likely to be more active in winter than in the heat of the summer. Along with the zoo is an amazing museum that is included in the price of admission. It should not be missed, even if time is short and you have to dash through it.
There is an art gallery in the museum with changing exhibits, and a terrific, hands-on play room for children. The Taste of Adventure event is wonderful, where they offer the food of a specific region and have a speaker come in and talk about the region. The last one I went to was presented by a NatGeo photographer and was amazing.

We decided to tour the zoo, even though a lot of the animals would be inside. First stop was the restaurant. We were treated great there, and the food was reasonable and tasty. We then visited all of the indoor animal spaces. We had a great time at a first class att...
