"We spent our Memorial Day visiting. Such a wonderful place - the Mission Experience was Awesome! Watching videos on 6-7 screens made you feel part of the action. With real footage from the war-- flying "with the crew" ; watching planes attack and being attacked; landing back at base safe and soun..."d.
Superb exhibits - so many great photos and personal items.
The Memorial Gardens were peaceful - so many squadrons and personnel remembered. The English Chapel's stained glass was beautiful.
Wish we could have spent more time there- so much to really absorb in and read.
WW II vets are dying in great numbers now, soon they will all be gone, but this museum will keep their memories alive !

The library is on the 2nd floor and has different hours(closes for lunch) from the Museum. You can get a lot of detail on individual Bomb Groups and Squadrons. The library is also not open on Sat/Sun. The Memorial Gardens are quite peaceful and are extensive. There is also an outside chapel in the Gardens, which was in ...
