"Dinosaur State Park and Museum off exit 23 on I-91 is well worth the trip. The main deal here is a dinosaur track way which shows you and your kids that there were former residents to Connecticut many millions of years ago it the Triasic. This is a place to take your kids. Besides all the inside stu..."ff, there are hiking trails and the kids can also make plaster casts from REAL dino tracks. Take your kids, they will love it.

"When you're heading across the River and aren't in a hurry, this is a great way to do it. Nice little park with a walking trail and river views on the Glastonbury side. Get there from the center of South Glastonbury, which is quaint, then a short drive through some nice farm and horse country. ..."
Rocky Hill side has a nice little summer lunch spot.
The crossing is only five or ten minutes, and there usually isn't much of wait.
It's always a plesure to take the ferry.
