Pros -about as great a location in denver for camping as you can get. very easy access to 470 (not the toll side) and shopping if needed...". Still feels in the "country" -sites are huge and level -power was conistent and water was good quality -price was super reasonable. -really cool playgrounds for the kids, they were all over the place too maybe 5 or 6 playgrounds that we saw and within view of a lot of the campsites so we could turn the 3 and 7 yo's loose by themselves woohoo -tons to do lots of trails, a lake, horseback riding, great mountain views Cons -apparently you need a $8/day parking pass. we stayed 5 days in the park and had payed for the parking pass when we arrived however did not get another one the next day as there weren't any real clear signs as to that being the case. well 7am the next morning...
