"A great piece of architecture. During the warm/hot weather months, take a walk across the bridge in the early evening. A very good visitors' center, especially if you have children."
"Fortunately, it was a very beautiful day when my girlfriend and I visited this "ghost town" part of Shasta City. You will see old, half-ruined brick buildings that were part of a mining district during the California gold rush. The walk as you view the old buildings is free. The 1861 county court..."house has been restored, and it only costs $3.00 a person to get inside to view the historical exhibits. If you want to walk the entire grounds and go inside the county courthouse, plan on spending at least an hour to do so.
