"Im in love! Every time i would go to anyyyyyy kind of zoo (LA zoo or Santa Barbara zoo) it would alwayss leave me feeling so sad. Not only because the animals were so miserable in their surroundings that they would either be hiding or sleeping...but because you could FEEEL how sad & depressed these ..."beautiful creatures are. This is the complete opposite here....it is a very beautiful place & they do such a great job keeping it fun & exciting but comfy for the animals. I dont even think theres enough space to describe what a great adventure it was. and it doesnt hurt they have beer on draught..SWEET!!! (near the cheetah run)
We orignally went because of a groupon we purchased & that was the greatest deal ever!! $22 bux got us into the park and included a safari tram ride. We got there around 10am and stayed till closing...theres sooo much to see you can make an all day adventure out of it! The safari tram adventure was about 30-35 mins and it was so awesome! they take you thru the afr...

"I had been to the San Diego Zoo in Balboa Park before and loved it, but this was my first trip to the Wild Animal Park (now Safari Park). It's a bit of a drive to get there from San Diego, but not bad. While the tours are expensive (be prepared to pay at least $50 per person) the park is phenomenal,..." and they do so much great conservation work. The animals have huge enclosures that truly let them roam and exercise -- the cheetahs really do have space to run! We didn't get to see everything due to timing and walking ability of everyone in our group, but I hope to come back some day!

"This place is perfect if you love animals. I recommend getting a safari. The behind the scenes are the best. The caravan also is okay but we preferred the behind the scenes. We did jungle journey because my 10 year old's favorite animal is the okapi. Best part of our San Diego trip."
