We are a family winery and that defines our vitiviniculture. El Porvenir de Cafayate is the luxury of being able to think long-term. We believe in Cafayate, its potential, its people, its history and its culture. We feel a deep respect and love for our terroir and we want this to be reflected in our wines. We seek to become better and better each day, in search of an unprecedented, unique level of quality. We take the legacy of our ancestors and, following the entrepreneurial spirit, we add innovative ideas, seeking our own betterment.Cafayate is our terroir and the cradle of our labor, where we simply add the most important element: the family. In El Porvenir de Cafayate we have maintained a vision: to make exceptional wines in a sustainable manner. And with the passing of each harvest, we feel that this vision is realized more and more strongly, as we achieve honest, true wines that reflect their origin. We proudly represent the essence of Cafayate.

"We went from Salta to Cafayate along the Quebrada. The first part is not that spectacular but it becomes more and more impressive. Traffic is sparsely but trucks can be rigorous. Some roadside pueblos offer food and drinks and we also saw a gas station, but we preferred our on-board provisions and w..."asn't sure whether you really can rely on the availability of gas and its quality on the way. But the distance can be mastered easily with a tankful. The road sometimes is unsurfaced and on longer parts not in the best condition which at least is time consuming. The numerous fords over rough gravel require special attention whether dry or flooded.

"this drive tthrough the different shaped and coloured mountains was incredible. Sculpted by el Río de las Conchas, la Garganta del Diablo (the devil's gorge) and the Anfiteatro are spectaculars."
"After driving for hours and hours, we got there. It is a giant hole into a mountain. It is not a cave, because its open over the head. It was summer, December, maybe it was too hot. But i could climb the back of the stones. It is a retreat. To make a stop in this wonderful area and have some mates o..."r pic-nic. I am rating this for teens, family, in the system, but this place is amazing, romantic, adventurous, ..its not Iguazú falls, but its overwhelming on its way. Enjoy nature and the silence! Enjoy your ecco and the smell of the stones in the shadows and the sun in the open roof :) If you continue on the way, you may find Alemania...hehehe :) this place was aparently an old estancia, from some Germans, it was abandoned, and now a very poor indigena family lives there. They live like local gauchos, and they have a little kiosk. The nicest thing is to buy some fresh drinks and have a picnic at the river and look at the old train bridge... sweet... :)
