The visitor center is excellent. Go early (like 9 am) to avoid the crowds. Then hike up the western side of the glacier which takes about 3 hours and ends up at a point which...

"Just completed our whale watching adventure with Jaylene of Harv & Marv. The scenery was exceptional, the boat comfortable & clean and the scenery was stunning. There were no unexpected surprises and all arrangements were as advertised (everyone on time and organized). Everyone at Harv & Marv was pr..."ofessional and really tried to answer questions or try to be accommodating to their guests. Great value for the price.

"I can’t put into words how fantastic this experience was. You would need to do it yourself in order to understand what it feels like . . . flying over and, then, standing on a massive glacier, surrounded by snow and so many of “man’s best friends.” Our tour was so extraordinary that about 1/3 of ..."the pictures in our Alaska photo book are from the few hours we spent on this tour (i.e. helicopter rides, dog sledding, petting the dogs and holding some puppies). Interestingly, the day of our tour, Juneau was cloudy and overcast. But, by the time we arrived on the glacier, not a cloud could be found in the sky!! Not sure you can depend on this situation, but the sun made our experience that much better. In fact, it was so warm, we removed our coats before sledding. Also, if you’re arriving by cruise-line, I highly recommend checking and possibly booking directly with Temsco (rather than through your cruise-line company). Not only did we save about $100 each off our cruise-line’s pri...

"This is a must do in Juneau, Alaska. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The audio narration was informative and thoughtful. Finally, the pilot was excellent in both making us feel safe and in showing us the glaciers. Ask for the seat next to the pilot if its available. Great times."
