Jade - the precious gemstone known as the 'stone of heaven' has been cherished for millennia and is believed to possess mystical powers, immortality, and invincibility. This is a place where visitors could indulge themselves with jade and be mesmerised by the sheer nature of these heavenly stones. A visit to the Jade Museum would definitely be a favourable experience and they do have an extensive range of souvenirs in jade which one could adorn themselves with or for gifts to their loved ones.

"We were on the April Caravan Costa Rica Tour. We can't say enough about it! The tour guide, bus driver , bus, accommodations, and sights were top rated. We love the Costa Ricans, so friendly and warm and people on the side of the road would wave and smile to us on the tour bus. It is such a be..."autiful country with jungles, beaches and volcano's , we were always anticipating our next stop and what we would see . All 3 daily meals were included, primarily beans and rice with each meal, lots of fresh vegetables and fruit. It was good, nourishing, plentiful and you didn't have to worry about gaining an ounce on vacation. We're so glad we went and will be talking about it for a long time.

"We paid for $1330 for 10 days with Caravan Tours. It is worth every dollar. Our tour guy (Laura Azofeifa) and our driver (Juan Carlos) were excellent. 4 of us were sick on our stay at Laguna Lodge Tortuguero and she took us to the doctor right away. We all felt better the next day. Thanks to L..."aura. This tour took us to so many places. I felt like I did see the entire country of Costa Rica. I will definitely do a tour with this company again in the future. Thinking of New England and Gutamala tour with them.

"This was my first organized tour, as my partner and I usually prefer to figure things out on our own. However since Costa Rica is completely new to us, and it has been (mumble, mumble) years since I studied Spanish in high school, we thought it best to give a tour a try. After a lot of research, th..."e one that kept rising to the top was Caravan -- the reviews online are almost universally positive, with the theme that Caravan delivers all they promise, and more -- and for an amazing price.
Well, we found it is all true.
Lodging: Ranges from the rustic (Tortuguero's Laguna Lodge) to the opulent (JW Marriott Resort at Guanacaste) -- but all clean, comfortable, and graciously run.
Food: If you've read the other reviews, you've already heard this ... But get ready for a lot of rice and beans. Gallo Pinto is served at almost every meal, and I fell I love with it. Each cook has their own way of making it, and it is fun to try all of the variations. Meals always were served with lot ...
