  "As a seasoned rider, I'm usually disappointed by the quality of horses in riding clubs in touristic areas... well, i was proven wrong this time. The horse that Amélie gave me was absolutely amazing. Light frame but so much stamina and responding very well to my guiding. It was one of the best rides ..."I had in a long time, not mentioning the scenery which is gorgeous. We rode for three hours on the beach and through the countryside. Our guide was cool and let us go at the pace we wanted, as he saw that we were good riders (not like other places where they are always scared that something bad happens and force you to keep a low pace all the time). At the end, we cantered for 5 long minutes non stop on the shore, at dusk... unforgettable! Horses are very well taken care of (not emaciated and no injuries), the saddles are comfortable and all of this for a reasonable price. I will definitely ride there again when I go back to Puerto Viejo. I want to do the full day ride to Gandoca next time! " More >

  "We had friends tell us about the Rescue center and we had to check it out for ourselves. It's definitely not to be missed and our guide was both knowledgeable about the animals and the surrounding habitat. Each animal there has a story and most are there to heal over time and then reintroduced bac..."k into the wild so you might not see every animal you expect like you would in a zoo. My son and I went into the cage with the monkeys and they enjoy climbing all over you. There are species of animals from the area and they will educate you on what to do and not to do whenever you encounter any particular animal in the wild. We suggest making visiting as part of the first thing you do on your trip so that it makes wildlife viewing during the rest of your trip worthwhile. " More >
