"Its a beautiful little museum, that is very well curated. While the ground floor focuses on Kutchi history and its people, the first floor has samples of all the major Kutchi embroidery styles.
This place is definitely worth a visit for someone interested in textiles.
Do remember that even the mu..."seum shuts in the afternoons

"The chattardi are one of the few places that you can visit in Bhuj while the rest of the place shuts down between 12 and 4.
However it is in the open air and its quite a walk from the gate to the cenotaphs. So carry caps and plenty of water.
The cenotaphs are beautifully carved and are definitely ..."worth visiting. Some of them have fallen down during the Earthquake, but quite a few are still standing.

"When I visited in October, there were so many birds on Hamirsar lake inspite of it being in the centre of town.
When we visited in December, there still were a lot of birds, but not as many as in October.
Locals feed the fish and birds here in the mornings and in the evenings a lot of locals visi..."t just to spend time in its environs.
The Hamirsar Lake is much larger and much cleaner than the Holy Narayan Sarovar lake nearby.
I've heard that, on Republic Day (Jan 26th) and the Kacchi New Year (May-June) a public concert is held here featuring local folk musicians that is supposed to be really good.
