"This museum manages to balance the serious history of Spam and a tongue in cheek approach. There are numerous interactive sights and a very complete history of the development of this product. Plus it is entirely free."
"It is difficult to imagine better docents than those ladies at the Spam Museum. They are informative from the time you walk in the door and they take time to point out interesting and unique (there are many) tidbits about this ubiquitous canned meat. It is easy to tell that Hormel's success has com..."e from marketing. The company is the best and should be studied by every college graduate in any field as the history of the company is a solid case study reflecting the times and changes of America over 75 years.
Spent a very, very enjoyable hour there but did not try the Spam burgers in the food truck parked in front. Don't miss this stop, or if you are from Hawaii (#1 consumers of Spam) this really is a vacation place as the billboards on the highway explain..."Where Hawaiians Vacation--Austin, Minnesota!"

"We loved tasting the different types of spam, as they were extremely generous with samples of all of the varieties. My family had not tasted spam prior to our visit, but we left with three cans! As quoted by my nine year old...We also liked canning the spam. The hands on displays were fun and educ..."ational. Plan to spend two hours to take in the whole experience.
