"Amazingly preserved and a must see if you're in the area. There isn't much else I can say about this attraction that hasn't already been said in previous reviews, so I'll divert off to a warning.
(Spring 2013) Pula is undergoing major works to the town and the major roads and look as if they will..." be ongoing for some time. Unfortunately the 'Powers that be', haven't thought to introduce any road diversions. Luckily we had purchased a paper map, as our satnav had smoke pouring from the back, as every road it tried to take us down was closed. It took us an extra hour to find our way out of Pula the old fashioned way.

"We were amazed at the size and condition of this amphitheater. I think it is the 6th largest Roman amphitheater. It is situated in the center of Pula and is easy to get to and park if you are driving. The 40 kn entry fee is worth it. There could be a bit more explanation about it's construction. ..."Displays in the underground passages detail how it was used ( bloody and deadly combat) It gives you pause to think about the lives of the people who were forced to perform here. It appears that they are starting to clean and refurbish parts.
