"I live in the South Bay but try to make two to three trips per year just to play Cypress Ridge and a couple other good courses in the area. Cypress is always well maintained - players usually are good about raking bunkers - and the greens are smooth. The course is varied and certainly not monotonous...". It's a good course for mid-handicap players and fair. Some water just to keep things interesting, especially on 18 where the approach shot can really be interesting. The coffee shop is nothing to write home about but they do serve good, hefty sandwiches. The pace of play is always good even though you seldom see a warden (which I like). As a footnote, don't miss hitting Hitching Post I in Casmalia or The Cracked Crab in Pismo for dinner. In fact, I'm on my way to Cypress in a couple of weeks, via Memphis, Springfield, MO and Monterey.

"This is an extremely well-designed and well-run medium-sized performing arts venue( ~500 seats). It is small enough for local groups to offer seasonal pageants, but they also book well-known traveling groups. You go there for the show, not the venue, but if the show interests you, you will not be dis..."appointed by the venue.

"Almost every year we stay at Lake Lopez campground. We try to arrange our visit during their off season for peace and quiet. We were not disappointed this year. There were only four other camp sites being used in our area (Quail). However, the day before we left it began filling up.
It's easy t..."o make reservations and the staff is very friendly and helpful.
We love the camp ground for it's wild life: Turkeys, squirrell, deer, and occasionally skunk. There are also many varieties of birds. The camp sites are clean and almost all of them have fire rings. The rest rooms are also well maintained.
Across from Quail there is a nice play ground area and up the road a piece are the water slides.
The lake is a beautiful site. I've heard the fishing can be quite rewarding.
Look forward to our visit next year.
