This market si the true heart of Warsaw's Old Town, and until the end of the 18th century it was the heart of the city. Representatives of guilds and merchants met in the Town Hall here (demolished in 1817), fairs and occasional executions were held. The four sides of this vast square are named after the most famous 18th century Polish parlamentarians. Destroyed during World War II, the square was rebuilt to look as it did when rich merchant families lived here in the 17th century. With its little cafes and street performers, it's an interesting place to admire the architecture and to taste local beer and food.

"I went there by myself as I had 4 hours of free time and I think I will come back but with friends simply just to share the excitement with them. As you would expect there is a lot of school trips hence loads of children and indeed the place is made mostly for the younger ones to make their educatio..."n fun and pleasure at the same time but I'm 30 years old now and I enjoy every minute of being there. If you want to refresh your scientific knowledge, understand processes around you, learn something new or get to know yourself better just go there and enjoy! I loved it.

"Marcin tries everything to show you that Warsaw is not as "shabby" as it looks like at first sight, but an upcoming, charming polish city - and he succeeds. Starting from an adventurous journey through Warsaw with Polski Fiat (I was really fascinated by the coolness and "show highlights" while he wa..."s driving!) to lunch in a traditional "bar mleczny" (don't ask, what "Flaki" is/are - eat it!) and other typical polish places, the story of the tour worked out completey. I admired Marcin's esprit while guiding us through his home town and recommend this adventure to everyone who is interested in an free-spirited history lesson and wants to find out, why Warsaw is worth a visit!

"At late spring it demonstrates its full beauty: firtly the magnolias and tulips blossom and then, as in this weekend the azaleas, lilacs and rhodondendrons present the extended variety of shapes and colors. Powsin houses also an interesting arborentum and the path containing Polish montaneous plants..." and trees. In weekends it is a little crody, therefore it is worth to rent a bike from Ursynów and get there from the back side (the gate entrance from powsin Park and not from the bus stop main gate where huge queues to the entrance form). If you like natural beauty it is a must.
