"The marina area has a nice selection of modern and well maintained shops covering all kinds of foods and supplies. It all looked the part, but was too suburban - it looked like they just picked up a chunk of the mainland and plonked it ib the ocean - you'd never know you were on an island paradise. ..."It was all clean and tidy, and had all that we needed for a days outing.

"We went on the Denison Starlay night to celebrate our anniversary, and I couldn't have picked a better way to do it.
Upon arriving you get a delicious cocktail which is nice to cool you down followed by an array of cold meats, cheese, dips etc to snack on while you get further out into the water...."

We were lucky to have a very small number on our cruise, only 14 ppl when it can seat just over 40. So we got a table for 2. I had booked the private dining originally given it was our anniversary at an extra $40 pp but we opted to sit down stairs anyway.
A word of warning.. Only have a small lunch!!! The platters are huge! The first cold platter has bugs, prawns and oysters and plenty of them. It is all so fresh. The prawns were SO tasty!

"We went to this attraction before the renovations and it was still a highlight of the holiday then. I still have my target sheet and some 9mm spent brass I pinched (this caused excitement at the airport departure gate).
Yes, it was pricey even then, but worth it. The best thing is the fantasy - y..."ou can be Clint Eastwood, John Wayne, Mel Gibson, Bruce Willis, etc. I chose a Glock, and got enough cartridges for a magazine and a half. I had to load up myself (to save the range supervisor's thumb) but it was great fun to put on an Arnie face and mutter "Hasta la Vista baby!" with real bullets.
Coming back to earth a bit, this type of attraction is quite rare in Australia. I know only of 2 others, both in Qld, so enjoy it!
