  "This was our first visit to this National Trust property and we loved it. There is a 10 minute preview film to find out about the house and previous millionaire owners. The house is filled with furniture, porcelain and plenty of art by Hogarth, Stubbs, Canaletto, Bruegel and El Greco. Photography..." is allowed. Plenty of rooms open to view, you may play the piano if you wish and whilst we were visiting another visitor played a tune that we did not know but she played beautifully. The guides are well informed and very helpful. The gardens were lovely as loads of plants were in full bloom. There are a variety of gardens to see, orchard, terraced gardens, bog garden, scented garden and a woodland walk. The sunken lawn is huge and plenty of families were using this for games with their children. The pool in the bog garden was full of carp of a variety of colours.   "This "modern" country house did not disappoint with impressive interiors, artworks and landscaped gardens. It's not often you get to see a Goya and Rembrandt in one house! The Shell exhibition was an added attraction."
