"Dunkeld Cathedral's site on the River Tay gives you two choices -- tour the cathedral and the Chapter House museum or just relax on the beautiful lawn under the fantastic trees. I made two visits to do both. Unfortunately, the 13th century nave has been closed indefinitely for repairs, but there is ..."lots else to see. Inside the parish church (in the 15th century choir), facing the stained glass window, look for doors on either side that open into the area behind the presiders' chairs. This area is open to the public and contains the very fine Black Watch Memorial, which shouldn't be missed.

"Last Saturday we spent a very happy few hours watching the birds ( and a red squirrel) on the feeders. Also we were lucky to see a mother mallard with her brood of eleven chicks. All this from the comfort of the visitors centre. No 1 grandson loves to visit here because of his great interest in all ..."wild things.No2 grandson enjoyed playing in the little house. The staff were all so friendly and helpful. We visited the hide to look at the osprey's nest through the scope and binoculars. Can't believe that jeffhangsaround thought it a total rip-off. Does he not realise that if everyone went close to the nest the birds would soon be frightened off and there would be no ospreys to watch!!?
Keep up your good work. Hope to visit again on another visit to Scotland

"Excellent walk up to the hall through big trees. surprised by the interesting hall archtecture in the wood at the waterfalls and although there was little water cascading down the rocks it was noisy. It would be spectactular in a heavy water flow."
